Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is quietly consolidating political support in his Rift Valley backyard before declaring his candidature in 2022 presidential poll, a key ally has revealed.
Tiaty MP William Kamket who is a close ally to the son of Former President Daniel Moi, has now claimed that Gideon Moi will naturally replace William Ruto to be the Kenya’s fifth president after 2022 election.
Kamket went on to tell his host Tony Gachoka that the presidency covenant laid down by Jubilee between President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto is a covenant written in blood and it’s based on communities.

His statement which has since angered a good number of Kenyans left questions on the position of other communities in clinching the presidency.
One Mwenyeji wrote;
“If this is our level of thinking, we are done….so kenya belongs to two communities, they decide everything mpaka wako na replacements…..we barely just did two elections and we are on the next one..”
He went on to claim that Kanu was employing a strategy of “respect and restraint” and dismissed claims that the party was scared of declaring its presidential candidate early.
“We are ready. We have only said that we’ve just come from elections and we have the Big Four agenda that President Kenyatta holds dear. It takes a lot of respect for Kenyans. Everything depends on time,” he added.
Defending why Gideon was yet to publicly declare his interest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022, Kamket said a lot was going on behind the scenes and that Deputy President William Ruto, who is also in the presidential race, would soon be relegated to “a political dustbin.”
