One of the great liabilities of history is that many people fail to remain awake through great periods of social change. Every society has its protectors of status quo and its fraternities of the indifferent who are notorious for sleeping through revolutions. Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.

Antony Manyara of  KUSO , is focused on youth voice which is crucial to the overall effectiveness of service- learning programs and has a tremendous impact on their  participation and outcomes, both short term and long term.

The indefatigable Manyara seems to be working tirelessly for the sake of comrades and youths, not only in universities and colleges but also trying hard to reach all youths of this nation ;not forgeting Meru County at large.

Not only that, the incoming Meru Senator uses his whatsapp status as a communication tool to reach youths.

If it is clear youth will be encouraged and listened to, and preparations are well thought out, the Country Kenya is set up for success.

Having youth on boards and commissions has been a rewarding experience for everyone involved. Youth feel their voice is valued and that they have an impact on city decisions. Adult members benefit from the fresh perspective, optimism, and enthusiasm youth bring to the table. Youth involvement has moved forward. It is no longer seen as a rebellious act, the way it was a few decades ago.
