Ugandan detectives have arrested former Jubilee Vice Chairman, David Murathe who has been accused of extorting giant sums of money from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Mr David Murathe is accused of soliciting money from President Museveni of Uganda disguised as President Kenyatta special envoy in the country.
Detectives in Uganda confirm that David Murathe was arrested in Kampala as he planned to flee the country. Mr Walokoyosi, a Ugandan detective said ordinary police helped coordinate
the operation and are escorting the Kenyan to Nalufenya detention camp in Jinja for further interrogation.
Sources reveal that the amount of money extorted from President Museveni by the Kenyan politician is close to Ksh 432 millions. David Murathe has dismissed claims that he obtained money from Museveni by false pretence insisting that the Ugandan President arrived at the decision after a mutual understanding.
Murathe has appealed to the Kenyan government to intervene accusing Ugandan authorities of violating his rights.
