The government has now withdrawn the security details of Kapseret Member of parliament Oscar Sudi but with no clear reasons to him. Oscar Sudi woke up today with a big shock that he had no security manning him.
While the leader claims the move is political, the police say the withdrawal of security officers is just in order.
President Uhuru has on several occasion requested leaders to shun politics and concentrate n developments agenda.
“We will look for the president and ensure that the working relationship with the deputy is improved,we don’t want them to separate,” Sudi said last week said.
The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) let off Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi with a warning against hate speech after he was grilled on the last week. The interrogation concerned remarks that Mr Sudi issued on March 30 in Cheptiret, Uasin Gishu County, against a section of leaders in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
The NCIC said Mr Sudi issued remarks against a certain community, which it reasoned were derisively condescending and inciting.
NCIC Chief Executive Officer Hassan Mohamed said the politician issued a statement which “crossed the red line”, breaching section 62 of the commission’s Act.
But Mr Mohamed noted that Mr Sudi “owned up to the statements and apologized” and that “he has consequently been tweeting the apology for the same”.
Two police officers assigned to Sudi were recalled. “They said orders must be obeyed and did not get the reason for their recall to the headquarters with immediate effect,” Suudi recalled.
