Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed that he could be back playing football in two months’ time once he fully recovers from an arm fracture.

The Elgeyo Marakwet senator dislocated his shoulder in September while playing for Bunge FC in a friendly match against the County Assembly of Kitui and videos of him wailing made rounds on social media with many mocking him for his “Usishike, usishike. Ni uchungu (Don’t touch me, don’t touch me, it is painful) wails.

A striker for Parliamentarians’, Bunge FC and Leyser FC, a team consisting of ex-footballers had to undergo a corrective surgery after picking the injury that once again exposed the poor state of our stadia.

He took to social media then to disclose the extent of his injury then revealing that his collarbone was nearly protruding.

“Last week I fell and tore my coracoclavicular ligament during a soccer game. Even in pain and having realized my collarbone was nearly protruding, I managed to protect myself from the dangers of poor first aid. I got to the hospital, surgery is done and now I’m fine, “he disclosed.

He has been recuperating ever since on Tuesday evening during a local tv show he revealed that he is now walking without a sling and could be back playing in two months’ time.

“My arm is getting better; this is the second day without a sling, according to my doctor I have another two months to undergo physio. I’m just hoping that I will come back to football, I feel very bad but I am hoping that I will come back,” he stated.
