The University of Nairobi students council president Ann Mvurya explains that she will indeed inherit the nickname of kirinyaga governor Ann Wiaguru ‘minjiminji’ as she sets to walk down the aisle.” The name has to stay alive and kicking.” she joked.
Waiguru is set to get married to Kamotho Waiganjo who she met 10 years ago in a ferry in Likoni, Mombasa County while traveling to a conference on the Constitution.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the traditional wedding as well as his deputy William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Ann Mvurya is a law student at the University of Nairobi and the ever first female chair for the student union at the university. She sends her congratulatory to the two and wishes them a happy life.
“I wish them a happy life together. May they be an exemplary couple all the days of their life.” She said.
The striking resemblance between her and governor Waiguru surfaced first in the online platform after her election. Waiguru publicly congratulated her and the two later met at her offices.
