Ipsos Synovate-Violence likely to erupt if Ruto resigns

A research conducted by Ipsos Synovate reveals that peace will be suspended in the country if Deputy President William Ruto resigns today. Tom Wolf explains that the Rift Valley region is not ready to part with one of their own from the top seat and will do anything humanly possible to maintain position two in the government.

“As much as the political pressure might make the Deputy President resign, majority of the Kenyans are not ready for this. William Ruto remains a darling to many as he controls the vote rich Rift Valley region” Tom Wolf stated.

According to the detailed research conducted by Ipsos Synovate, 52% of Kenyans threaten to demonstrate and boycott government’s products and services if the Deputy President is forced to resign.

92% of the Rift Valley residents warn of severe repercussions if one of their own is chased from the position of Deputy President. 49% of Nairobi residents are in support of William Ruto and might do the unthinkable if he resigns today, according to the Ipsos Synovate data.

Tom Wolf further reveals that if elections were to be conducted today, William Ruto will emerge the winner with 54% of the total votes in the country. Raila Odinga will come second with 36% of the total votes in the country.
