Radio presenter Betty Opondo mourns son who died watching TV

Radio queen Betty Opondo is yet to come to terms with the sudden death of her son who died on Tuesday, February 19. According to Radio Victoria presenter, Tevin collapsed with a remote control in his hand while watching TV on the morning of the fateful day in their Nairobi house.

“I’m trying to get a better picture of you Tevin. I’m too weak to go through my pictures, asleep or dead? Am I dreaming? You were only sick for two weeks in December, recovered and went back to school. What happened? Wake up and explain to me. My baby, my handsome. Our pet,” she mourned. Though he was not sick at the time, Tevin was admitted to the hospital in December 2018 for two weeks after which he recovered well and reported back to school. Unconfirmed reports indicated the deceased boy has been battling a heart condition and has been on and off the hospital. May he rest in eternal peace.
